Should we agree to arbitration after a dispute has already started?

I obtained a court judgment against a former customer, but months later I have received nothing. They ignore letters and it is unclear whether they have assets. Winning seems pointless if I cannot collect. What enforcement options do I actually have?
A judgment is only the first step, and enforcement is a separate process. In the District Court and the Disputes Tribunal, enforcement is managed through the court, where you can apply for an attachment order over wages or bank accounts, a charging order over property, or seizure and sale of assets by a bailiff or court collector. You can also apply for an examination of the debtor, requiring them to attend court and answer questions under oath about their income and assets, which is often very effective for locating enforceable assets. If the debtor is a company and the debt is over the threshold, a statutory demand followed by a liquidation application is an option, but it is a serious step.
